Fun with Salad!

Today's share are three cards, which also includes my favorite Waldorf Salad recipe. I started out making one for a Fruit Salad swap over at Stamping Queens and it was so much fun to make, I ended up making two more for the Cards of the Month swaps at World Wide Stamping Friends (wwsf) and Stampingswaps (ss). Although I've made this card in various ways, it is the first time to include the recipe card and the little worm (unknown source).

I did the diamond scoring on two of the panels (DCWV) paper, the third one uses paper already embossed (BazillBasicsPaper-Two Scoops); then scrubbed sandpaper over the tops to reveal the white cores. The center image (SU!) is a favorite and is colored with pencils; the apples and napkin are paper pieced. The back panels are: blue gingham paper from an old pack of CTMH paper, green paper from an unknown source, and the pink is the backside of the BazillBasicsPaper paper - you can just make out the reverse embossing. Brads are CTMH and Elements.

The recipe card is white card stock with apples from Clip Art and recipe printed below.

Enjoy!

Diaper Cake for Baby Shower

Happy day to you all. Today's share is a "Diaper Cake" that Michelle (grandma to be) and Jarod (uncle to be) made for our newest member to our family. It was the highlight of the baby shower and is just so cute. The baby is my first great grandchild and is due in Sept.

The 'flowers' on the cake are made with baby washcloths and socks. There is a bottle tucked into the top tier that is filled with treats for mom to be. Her favorite gummy bears.

Again, thanks for looking and your comments.

Blessings and enjoy your day.

Today's Share ...

is for the Blue Moon challenge GCSO08 to use 3 words, 3 papers, and 3 buttons. Originally this card started out to meet the I Brake for Challenges where the challenge/inspiration was a little girl wearing a polka dotted dress with lady bug trim and gingham ribbon, but I missed the deadline. Anyway, as I was working on the card, Gingersnap Creations came out with this challenge and I thought how perfect to blend the two! AND also over at Card Camp (yahoo group) the challenge for the week was to use buttons and bows. So, by adding the bow, it meets that challenge too!

The main image Fashion Lady #4 from "I Brake for Stamps" and she's not typically my type of stamp, but her and a lady friend shouted Buy Me Buy Me as I was browsing the online store. And they actually tugged at my heartstrings, so they were placed in my shopping cart. The Ladybug buttons (shanks cut off) and tatted flower were in my stash for years and thought it time to use them, and the TAC word stamps were perfect for her.
